Mahatma khadi Vastra, a Karnataka based brand was created to reimagine traditional khadi by transforming its classic silhouettes into modern style. We blend craftsmanship with modern silhouettes. Our core intention is to bring what was not available in khadi so far.

The VisionDesigner’s Note
Jeevitha Sagar is a Bengaluru-based fashion designer with a vision to bring a fresh perspective into the fashion world — to think differently, design uniquely, and create with a purpose. With an intention to introduce what had long been missing in Khadi, Jeevitha Sagar founded Mahatma Khadi Vastra as a label that goes beyond conventional branding.
Khadi has always held a powerful place in our history. It stood for self-reliance, sustainability, and identity. Yet, over time, I felt that while the fabric endured, its fashion potential remained underexplored.
I started Mahatma Khadi Vastra with a simple but bold intention — to bring into Khadi what had not existed before.
I envisioned Khadi beyond basic silhouettes. I imagined it as structured blazers for corporate spaces, trend-driven designs for the younger generation, and refined collections that could stand confidently alongside wedding and festive wear from any premium brand.
Every piece is designed with purpose — respecting the soul of traditional craftsmanship while giving it a modern, designer-driven identity. Our collections are customized, exclusive, and thoughtfully created to reflect current trends without compromising authenticity.
